Reiki is a holistic stress reduction and relaxation technique which promotes healing.
Reiki sends healing energy through the body, rebalencing the spiritual, physical and emotional self.
Reiki was developed by a Buddhist monk called Mikao Usui who in
1922 founded the first Reiki school and clinic. Since then it has
spread around the globe through dedicated practitioners who have
healed many people through the years.

It sounds mad, being able to heal someone miles and miles
away, but I assure you it works very effectively.
There are a number of possible explanations for this. My
personal understanding is that matter consists of trapped
energy, and that everything in the universe is connected by a
vast energy web, and through this web Reiki can be directed to
anyone, anywhere.
Another idea is that of quantum entanglement. This is a proven
theory in quantum physics, where two particles are connected.
In this situation, even from a distance one particle affects its
counterpart. So during long distance healing the recipient and the healer’s particles become positively entangled, enabling
healing.
Possible side effects include;
nausea, fatigue, headaches and sensations of hot or cold
During a session you will be asked to sit or lay down comfortably, your reiki therapist will perform different hand positions above you to channel reiki through you.
Reiki is a spiritual practice but isn’t religious. You don’t have to believe in it for it to work, I have seen many people happily
surprised by its effects.
It’s not a magic bullet however, and it is essential to seek medical advice before your first session.
Reiki doesn’t replace modern medicine, but it can be very helpful in assisting the healing process.
Before a treatment I will ask you about the issues you want assistance with, explain possible side effects and discuss preferences - you might like, for example, to listen to some music or perhaps you prefer silence and so on.
